ORLANDO, Florida (February 16, 2026) – Dr. Stephanie Bartolotti, a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and founder of New Direction Natural Medicine in Altamonte Springs, Florida (a suburb of Orlando), has released Allergy-Free Tastes Good to Me: Gluten & Dairy-Free Cookbook, a comprehensive new cookbook designed to help individuals and families manage food sensitivities without sacrificing flavor, variety, or enjoyment.

Currently a resident of Altamonte Springs, Dr. Bartolotti brings her clinical experience working with patients of all ages to a cookbook created for a wide audience, including, but not limited to, children, adults, pregnant women, and seniors.

Originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts, Bartolotti has spent years treating patients with digestive disorders, food allergies, gluten intolerance, and dairy sensitivity — many of whom struggle with the emotional and practical challenges of dietary change.

“I have a lot of patients with chronic digestive issues, skin problems, fatigue, bloating, anxiety, and depression, and so often the first reaction when diet changes are recommended is, ‘What am I going to eat now?’” said Bartolotti. “That feeling can be overwhelming, especially for families and children.”

Bartolotti said the emotional impact of food restrictions is something she sees regularly in her practice.
“I literally had two kids in my office recently who had tears in their eyes when they learned they were gluten intolerant,” she said. “I told them it’s okay, that there’s actually so much food you can eat and enjoy. That’s where I want the focus to be: on the fun, delicious foods you can eat, not the things you can’t.”

Written as both a practical kitchen guide and a supportive resource, Allergy-Free Tastes Good to Me includes 93 gluten- and dairy-free recipes spanning breakfast, lunch, dinner, soups, stews, side dishes, and desserts. The cookbook also offers meal-planning tips, kitchen organization guidance, and educational context rooted in Chinese food therapy and functional medicine principles.

”I wrote this to be a vibrant, empowering, and highly practical cookbook that transforms gluten-free and dairy-free eating into something joyful, accessible, and deeply nourishing,” Dr. Bartolotti explained. “I wanted to put this together from not only the perspective of a functional medicine practitioner, but as someone who genuinely cares about people’s wellbeing.

“If you are gluten and/or dairy-free or simply wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, this book will help to guide you along your journey. Loaded with tips, tricks, and a wide-variety of allergy-free recipes that are delicious and easy, this book takes the guesswork out of ‘what to eat.’”

Bartolotti, whose father (Jan Irzyk) is a chef and whose grandfather (Thaddeus Irzyk) owned the iconic and renowned Thad’s Steakhouse in New Bedford, said her approach to food is intentionally open-minded.
“There is no perfect diet,” she said. “What I’ve learned through years of trial-and-error is that people need a balance of macronutrients, nourishment, and sustainability. This book isn’t about restriction. It’s about helping people eat better in a way that actually works for real life.”

Designed for households managing food allergies as well as for readers simply seeking healthier, more mindful eating, the cookbook emphasizes accessibility, family-friendly meals, and recipes that can be realistically prepared at home.
