Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
1 small yellow onion, diced
4 cups green cabbage, chopped

2 celery stalks, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
6 cups beef or chicken broth
1 cup cooked brown rice or cauliflower rice
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Optional garnish:
Fresh parsley
Red pepper flakes
Directions:
Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet and drain excess fat if needed.
Add the cooked meat to your crockpot.
Add cabbage, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, tomatoes, broth, and seasonings.
Stir to combine.
Cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
Stir in cooked rice during the final 30 minutes of cooking.
Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Serves 6–8.
