Flaxseeds are packed with nutrients - high in omega-3 fatty acids and fiber. They and wonderful for digestive health and heart health and are known for lowering cholesterol and blood pressure and stabilizing blood sugar.

I've been getting bored with breakfast lately and I've been craving the comfort of a hot breakfast cereal, so I came up with this quick, healthy and tasty recipe full of ground flaxseed and other clean ingredients. This recipe is grain-free, dairy-free and gluten-free and comes together in about 5 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (malk)

  • 2 TBSP flaxseed meal

  • 2 TBSP finely chopped walnuts

  • 1 TBSP almond flour

  • 1/2 TBSP chia seeds

  • pinch of himalayan salt

  • 1/2 TBSP organic peanut butter or almond butter

  • 1/2 TBSP Crofter's seedless raspberry spread (or a few fresh organic raspberries)

Directions:

Heat almond milk over high heat until boiling. Reduce heat to low and stir in the flaxseed meal, walnuts, almond flour, chia seeds and a pinch of himalayan salt. Stir for 1-2 minutes until thickened and remove from heat. Top with raspberry spread or fresh raspberries and peanut butter.
